About Hunter Clinical Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a calm, deep state of relaxation (hypnosis) where you are active in creating the change you choose.

About Lee

Lee has been fascinated by hypnosis since childhood. Having inquisitively studied its history, theories and applications over the years, he took the plunge and became an NLP Practitioner in 2020. This led to qualifying as a Clinical Hypnotherapist in 2022.

Lee has previously worked in “people centred” industries as diverse as hospitality, retail, special needs education, learning and development, and rugby league (sorry, footy!) coaching.

Lee helps people of all ages, from all walks of life, overcome their mental blocks and achieve amazing transformations.

Answers to Common Questions about Hypnotherapy and What to Expect during Hypnosis

A Lee will help guide you into a deep, relaxed state. Working with your subconscious mind he will guide you to choose positive thoughts and behaviour patterns that support what you have specifically requested.

Everyone’s experience is a little different, but everybody reports the feeling is like when you daydreaming, or the moment before you fully wake up in the morning or even when you are lost in a good book or movie. That’s the same feeling as hypnosis. In hypnosis you feel deeply, pleasantly relaxed. You will hear Lee’s voice and other external noises, be aware of sensations and, even with your eyes closed, be aware of the light in the room. Most importantly you are safe, 100% in control and whilst in trance you would never do anything you don’t want to.

No, absolutely not. Hypnosis is something you do “with” another person, not “to” them. Lee will give you suggestions based on what you have identified as changes you want to make. Any suggestions you hear that you don’t agree with or understand will be automatically rejected by your subconscious. So no, he will not make you cluck like a chicken!

The depth of the trance can vary from person to person or from visit to visit but all of us are capable of a deep enough trance for a positive outcome. With reference to the question before, anyone who wishes to access trance with the guidance and co-operation of a trained therapist can do so.

Yes. There are thousands of Scientific Research papers proving Hypnotherapy works for a broad range of conditions. Hypnosis is a proven, natural therapy that accesses the mind – body connection. Please have a look at the ‘Research’ section of this website or have a read of the Blog articles.

Yes, there’s a growing body of research supporting the effectiveness of hypnotherapy for various conditions.

It’s recognised by organisations such as the American Psychological Association and the British Medical Association as a valid therapeutic tool.

The number of sessions varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some people experience significant improvements in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from ongoing support. We’ll discuss a recommended treatment plan during your initial consultation.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax easily.

After a session, you may feel:

  • Relaxed and calm
  • More positive and motivated
  • Slightly drowsy (this passes quickly).

Changes can be immediate, but sometimes they may take a little time to manifest as your subconscious mind processes the work done during the session.
